The length of therapy varies based on each person/couple’s needs. Sometimes therapy will be brief (just a few sessions) and sometimes therapy lasts longer (a number of sessions will be provided over a period of time). If length of treatment is a concern to you, we can discuss this at your initial session and create a plan that works for you. The length of each session is 45 minutes for individual psychotherapy. We understand that couples may have a more difficult time coordinating schedules and may desire longer therapy sessions less frequently. Therefore, we recommend extended sessions lasting 60-80 minutes to provide both clients ample time to discuss their concerns.
